What do you enjoy most about working here, or in your role specifically?
Odyssey feels like family. I’ve been a part of this company since its inception and have watched it grow into one of the top IT consulting firms in Dallas. The people I work with and the individuals we help find new roles make all the hard work truly rewarding.
Can you share a memorable story or milestone at Odyssey?
I was the first recruiter hired by Odyssey back in 2000, and I could write a book of stories from my time here! One of my most memorable moments was making my first calls to candidates. Facing rejection was a learning experience, but when I made my first placement, it brought an incredible sense of satisfaction. Helping someone find a great job and seeing their gratitude is a moment I’ll never forget.
In your opinion, what sets Odyssey apart from other IT staffing and recruiting companies?
Odyssey takes pride in satisfying both candidates with great job opportunities and clients with exceptional talent. We focus on finding quality candidates who not only meet the job requirements but also fit seamlessly into the company’s culture and work environment.
2025 marks our company's 25th Anniversary. What do you believe has been the key factor(s) behind Odyssey’s long-term success?
The key to our success has always been the people. Both our candidates and our clients play a crucial role in making Odyssey successful.
What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve received, or that you would give to someone just starting out?
Build genuine connections with people and leverage your ability to network. The longer you are in this business, the more connections you make, and those relationships will ultimately lead to your success.
